UPDATE 8/6/26

Knight

In foster care since 4.11.26. He's a very smart guy, and picks things up easily. He's crate trained, house broken, knows basic commands, as well as catching treats in the air, and sitting at the door before going out/coming in. He's very dog social, and loves to play. Needs some work on leash skills, and can counter surf, but we’ve been working on that, so it’s decreased. He likes to tear his stuff toys apart. Eats out of a puzzle dish to help him slow down. He can be a bit mouthy, but does respond to “stop”.
Knight likes to be busy, so I do a lot of enrichment activities with him. Remember, a bored dog is a destructive dog. There’s a great FB group called Canine Enrichment Ideas. It has tons of activities to keep dogs mentally stimulated which is another way to tire them out. For example, lick mats, snuffle mats, tying treats up in a towel, using empty toilet paper rolls or paper towel rolls and put a few treats in and close the ends by folding them. Also, frozen kongs (he gets one for breakfast) or kong wobblers. Freeze bone broth, chicken or beef broth in ice cube trays for him. Take them out one at a time so they don’t melt. He’s a smart guy, so enrichment activities will keep everyone happy!

When it comes to other dogs, Arlo can be a little nervous at first, but he warms up quickly once he realizes everyone is friendly. With proper introductions, he may enjoy having a canine buddy to play with. As a young dog, Arlo is still learning the basics. He will need help with basic training and walking nicely on leash, but his eager-to-please attitude will make training a fun and rewarding experience. With patience, consistency, and plenty of encouragement, Arlo is sure to blossom into an amazing companion.

Andre

Meet Andre, a 140‑pound gentle giant with a heart as oversized as his paws.

Andre arrived at the shelter as a stray, and while his exact breed mix is a mystery, one thing is unmistakable—this boy is big. Kahlua

Meet Kahlua! Kahlau is a 1‑year‑old, 47‑pound bundle of enthusiasm with a heart as big as his energy level. This playful young guy is always ready for fun and loves keeping himself entertained—especially by emptying the toy box one toy at a time, which he considers his personal mission.

Friendly to his core, Kahlau wants to greet every person he sees and believes every stranger is just a friend he hasn’t met yet. His excitement sometimes shows up as enthusiastic jumping, so he’ll benefit from continued training to help him channel that joy into polite greetings. The good news is he’s eager to learn and motivated to please.

Kahlau would thrive with someone who appreciates his spirited nature and wants a companion who brings laughter, movement, and affection into their home. If you’re looking for a fun-loving dog who’s ready to grow with you, Kahlau might be your perfect match.

She’s already off to a great start with her training—she walks nicely on a leash, knows how to sit, and is eager to learn more, especially when treats are involved. Her food motivation makes her a fun and easy student.

Hanna is looking for an active, upbeat family who enjoys playtime, adventures, and including their dog in the fun. If you’re searching for a sweet, energetic companion who’s ready to grow with you, Hanna might be your perfect match

DALLAS

Male, mixed breed, 5 years old and 75 pounds

Howdy, folks, Dallas here! I may not be a cowboy, but I sure know how to lasso hearts. I’m a big, lovable mix of who-knows-what (the best kind, if you ask me), somewhere around middle age — old enough to know better, young enough to do it anyway.

I’m a people-loving, treat-motivated, tail-wagging kind of guy. My motto? If you’ve got snacks, I’ve got tricks! I never met a squeaky toy I didn’t like, and my favorite pastime is making humans laugh with my goofy antics and “did-he-really-just-do-that?” expressions. I seem to get along with other dogs. I’m all about making friends and I’d love a home where I can join the family for all the fun stuff: walks, couch snuggles, and maybe a little taste-testing in the kitchen (strictly for quality control, of course).

If you’re looking for a big-hearted, silly, and endlessly loyal companion, come meet me! I promise to fill your days with smiles, slobbery kisses, and a little bit of Texas-sized charm. 💙

DIXIE

Female, mixed breed, 1 year old and 30 pounds

DIXIE UPDATE AUGUST 2026

Dixie has come SO far since that scared, skinny girl found nearly a year ago with her sisters. She has learned that it is ok to trust people, it still takes more time to trust new people but once you’re in, you’re her everything. She has learned that she can relax, that the whole world isn’t trying to hurt her. She has learned to play and share with dog friends, except for food (her food is her food). But she has learned to wait for her food and take turns with dog friends for treats. I think she will need a home with a dog friend, the seperation anxiety is still there when she’s all alone. She’s a smart girl and loves to learn new things (for food of course). She may never be that dog that wants to go run errands with you but she is such a good girl at home with the friends she trusts.

This sweet herding-type girl has a gentle soul and a shy streak that’ll melt your heart. Dixie is still learning that the world is a safe and happy place, and she’s looking for a patient home to help her come out of her shell. Around other dogs, she really shines — her tail wags faster, her eyes light up, and you can see her confidence bloom! A doggy friend could be just the thing to help her feel brave and loved.

With a little time, encouragement, and some secure fencing for her safety, Dixie will reward you with loyalty, love, and quiet companionship. She’s the kind of girl who may start out timid but ends up being your most devoted friend. 💕

✨ Give Dixie the chance to bloom — she’s ready to find her forever home! ✨

CHUCK

Male, large breed mix, 1 year old and 64 pounds

About Me: Hi, I’m Chuck. I like long runs in the yard, stealing tennis balls, and pretending I don’t know what “sit” means (I totally do, I just like to keep you guessing). I’ve got energy for days, but don’t worry—once I’ve zoomed around a few times, I turn into a very good boy who just wants cuddles and playtime.

Fun Facts:
• I believe gravity is optional. (Got fences? Better make them tall!)
• I’m fluent in “wiggle butt” and “slobbery kisses.”
• I will 100% photobomb your family pictures.

Turn-Ons:
✅ Tall, secure fences
✅ Active humans who like adventure
✅ Treats (lots of them)
✅ Belly rubs after playtime

Turn-Offs:
❌ Boring days with no fetch
❌ Tiny fences (challenge accepted)
❌ People who don’t appreciate zoomies

So… what do you say? Swipe right on Chuck and get ready for the best mix of chaos, comedy, and cuddles you’ve ever had. 💕

RIDGE

Male, mixed breed, 6 years old and 46 pounds

Ridge is a spry, active senior with plenty of pep in his step and a zest for life! Weighing in at 46 pounds, this sweet guy may have a little gray on his muzzle, but don’t let that fool you — he’s still got plenty of adventures left in him. Ridge is incredibly food-motivated, which makes training a breeze! He’s still polishing up his leash manners and could use a refresher on basic obedience, but he’s a quick learner and eager to please (especially if snacks are involved!). He had a nice intro with another dog here at the shelter, showing friendly and appropriate behavior. Ridge may enjoy a calm canine companion, but he’ll need to be fed separately, as he prefers to keep his meals to himself.

If you’re looking for a loyal buddy who’s the perfect mix of seasoned soul and playful spirit, Ridge could be your guy. Come meet him and see if he’s the perfect addition to your pack! 🐶❤️
