GUNNY

Male, lab mix, 10 years old and 73 pounds

At 10 years young, Gunny is a distinguished gentleman of the Lab variety — equal parts sweet, social, and slightly set in his ways (hey, he’s earned it!). This friendly guy loves people and is always up for a good head scratch or some quality couch time. Gunny’s retirement goals? A cozy home, soft bed, steady meals, and humans who appreciate his charm. He’s not looking for drama — just peace, love, and maybe a few treats. In his previous home, he wasn’t too thrilled about sharing dinner time with another dog, so he’d prefer to dine solo like the classy fellow he is.

If you’ve got room in your heart (and a comfy spot on your couch) for a lovable old soul, Gunny’s ready to rest his bones and call you family. 💛

SMIT

Male, German Shepherd mix, 3 years old and 73 pounds

Handsome? Check. Smart? Double check. Total people-lover? Absolutely! Smit is a 3-year-old German Shepherd with a big heart and an even bigger enthusiasm for life. He’s happiest when he’s hanging out with his favorite humans — whether that’s going for a walk (he might pull a bit, but he’s working on it!) or showing off his perfect “sit.” Smit enjoys toys, playtime, and good company. He recently met a mellow female dog and was all tail wags and good manners — what a gentleman! With his friendly personality and eager-to-please attitude, Smit will make a loyal and loving sidekick for someone ready to share their adventures (and maybe a few squeaky toys).

💛 Ideal home: A fun-loving human who enjoys walks, play, and plenty of Shepherd smarts!

KIMBER

Male, large breed mix, 10 years old and 81 pounds

Kimber is a big, gentle soul with a few old scars that tell the story of a tougher past—but don’t let those marks fool you. Behind them is one of the sweetest, most forgiving hearts you’ll ever meet. This handsome, black-coated boy is an older large-breed mix who’s traded in his rough days for belly rubs, naps in the sun, and second chances. He walks with quiet confidence, enjoys calm company, and seems to understand that love is the best thing life has to offer. Kramer doesn’t ask for much—just a soft bed, kind hands, and someone who sees the good boy he’s always been.

He’s ready to start his next chapter… could it be with you? ❤️

With a little time, encouragement, and some secure fencing for her safety, Dixie will reward you with loyalty, love, and quiet companionship. She’s the kind of girl who may start out timid but ends up being your most devoted friend. 💕

CHUCK

Male, large breed mix, 1 year old and 64 pounds

About Me: Hi, I’m Chuck. I like long runs in the yard, stealing tennis balls, and pretending I don’t know what “sit” means (I totally do, I just like to keep you guessing). I’ve got energy for days, but don’t worry—once I’ve zoomed around a few times, I turn into a very good boy who just wants cuddles and playtime.

Fun Facts:
• I believe gravity is optional. (Got fences? Better make them tall!)
• I’m fluent in “wiggle butt” and “slobbery kisses.”
• I will 100% photobomb your family pictures.

Turn-Ons:
✅ Tall, secure fences
✅ Active humans who like adventure
✅ Treats (lots of them)
✅ Belly rubs after playtime

Turn-Offs:
❌ Boring days with no fetch
❌ Tiny fences (challenge accepted)
❌ People who don’t appreciate zoomies

So… what do you say? Swipe right on Chuck and get ready for the best mix of chaos, comedy, and cuddles you’ve ever had. 💕

BETTY

Female, shar-pei mix, 5 years old and 65 pounds

UPDATE 1/21/26

Betty was in foster care for almost 3 months, and only returned to the shelter because her foster mom had a medical issue to deal with. Betty is hypervigilant, possibly due to some trauma. She initially is very shy and withdrawn, shutting down in new environments, however, when she first arrived in foster, it only took a couple of days before she came when called, and went straight into her crate, which is her safe space. She hangs out with a couple of the other dogs, but doesn't initial contact. Once a routine is established, she follows it without problem. She walks ok on leash, but again, is constantly looking around to make sure she's safe. It will take some time for her to develop trust in a human, but once she does, she feels more secure. She is able to bond, and has sat on the couch with her foster mom, putting her head on mom's lap. Betty is a home-body. The best home for her would be one that is predictable, calm, and peaceful.

Betty is a quiet soul with the softest eyes and the gentlest heart. Found abandoned, underweight, and suffering from skin issues, this 5-year-old girl has already been through so much. But thanks to some much-needed care and kindness, Betty is finally starting to heal — both inside and out. She’s still learning that people can be good and that the world doesn’t have to be so scary. Right now, she’s a bit shy and reserved, preferring to observe from a safe distance as she takes everything in. But with time, patience, and a calm environment, we know she’ll blossom into a loyal, loving companion. We’re still getting to know Betty, but what we do know is that she deserves a forever home that will love her unconditionally and give her all the time she needs to feel safe and secure.

If you have a quiet home, a gentle heart, and the patience to let Betty come out of her shell at her own pace — she just might be your perfect match. 💕

RUFUS

Male, large breed mix, 1 years old and 72 pounds

Rufus is a big-hearted boy with an even bigger zest for life! This lovable large breed mix is full of tail wags, playful energy, and an eagerness to make new friends—both human and canine. Whether he’s chasing a ball, exploring the yard, or just soaking up attention, Rufus brings joy wherever he goes. He’s still learning the ropes when it comes to basic manners, so he’ll thrive with someone ready to invest a little time and patience into training. Rufus seems to really enjoy the company of other dogs and would likely do great with a playful pup sibling.

If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate companion who’s always up for an adventure, Rufus might just be your perfect match!

TAYLOR

Male, Pibull mix, 2 years old and 62 pounds

Taylor is a handsome 2-year-old male Pit Bull mix with a playful heart and a gentle soul. This sweet guy loves to romp around, play with toys, and show off his best trick—sit—especially if there’s a treat involved! While Taylor is full of love, he can be a little wary of new people at first. With a slow introduction and a bit of patience, he quickly warms up and reveals his goofy, affectionate side. He’s the kind of dog who forms strong bonds and will be a loyal companion once he feels safe and comfortable.

Taylor may do well with other dogs after a proper introduction, so a meet-and-greet with any potential canine siblings would be a great idea. He’s still young and would thrive with continued training and structure to help him be his best self. If you’re looking for a playful, loving dog with a big heart and a bright future, come meet Taylor—he might just be your new best friend!

SKIPPY

Neutered male, pitty mix, 4 years old and 59 pounds

Meet Skippy – a loyal, laid-back gentleman with a heart of gold and a deep appreciation for the quiet life. Skippy is a medium-sized brown pup who’s left his puppy antics behind and fully embraced the art of relaxation.
Indoors, Skippy is mellow and easy to have around. He loves a comfy spot to lounge, a calm presence nearby, and the occasional treat (or two). Whether you’re reading a book, watching TV, or just enjoying some peace and quiet, Skippy is happy to be by your side – no drama, no fuss. Skippy does his best in a home where he can be the only pet. He prefers not to share his space or people with other animals, and that’s okay – he has more than enough love to give all on his own.
If you’re looking for a sweet, steady companion who just wants a calm home and a person to call his own, Skippy might be your perfect match. He’s not asking for much – just a little space, a little love, and a chance to finally settle in.
