Male, husky mix, 1 year old and 31 pounds

This handsome all-white Husky mix is full of personality—and yes, he has the classic Husky vocal talents to prove it! Olaf is a fun, expressive guy who loves having something to say.

He seems to really enjoy the ladies and has been friendly with the women he’s met. He can be a little wary of some men, so he’ll do best with someone who is willing to let him take his time and build trust. Olaf has been around other dogs, but he isn’t necessarily interested in having another dog constantly in his personal space. A respectful canine companion may be a good match, with a proper introduction.

Olaf will need a home with secure fencing and an owner who is ready to work with him on some basic obedience. Huskies are smart, independent, and notorious escape artists, so Olaf will need a family willing to keep his mind and body busy.

SMILEY

Neutered, Dogo mix, 3 years old and 55 pounds

Our hard-luck boy is hoping for a second chance. ❤️ Smiley first came to the shelter in December 2025, severely malnourished and weighing just 34 pounds. He immediately went into the care of our dedicated team, who worked hard to get him healthy and ready for a new life. Even so, it would be another 7 months before Smiley got his first chance at a home. In July 2026, Smiley was adopted by a family who quickly fell in love with him. He initially settled into the home beautifully, but unfortunately, some issues soon developed between Smiley and the family's other dog. After evaluation with a behaviorist, we discovered something important about Smiley: he is deaf. Because Smiley cannot hear what's happening around him, he can be easily startled when he's sleeping or otherwise unaware of his surroundings. When the resident dog would approach him unexpectedly in an attempt to play, Smiley sometimes reacted poorly to the surprise. His family was heartbroken but ultimately made the incredibly difficult decision to return Smiley to the shelter in hopes of finding him a home where he can truly thrive. We believe Smiley would do best as the only dog in the home and in an environment that is calm, predictable, and allows him to feel secure. And in every other respect, Smiley SHINES! ✨ He is wonderful with people, friendly, playful, and—true to his name—always smiling! 😁 You may also remember Smiley from one of our previous posts about his Happy Tail. This condition can happen when a dog wags their tail so enthusiastically that repeated impact against hard kennel walls causes recurring injuries. With Smiley's famously happy tail, we're especially eager to see him back in a home where he has the space and comfort to let that tail wag freely! This special boy has already overcome so much. Myers is a handsome 1-year-old boy weighing about 50 lbs. He’s already had some one-on-one time with a special someone and is showing just how eager he is to learn! Myers knows how to walk nicely on leash, sit, and down, and he’s ready to add even more skills to his repertoire.

Meet Wazowski, a big, lovable, 10-month-old pup who tips the scales at a hefty 72 pounds!

Even though he's growing into a large boy, Wazowski is still all puppy at heart. He is full of playful energy and eager to learn new things. His absolute favorite pastime is playing with toys—especially trying to see just how many he can cram into his mouth at one single time!

When he’s not practicing his toy-stacking skills, Wazowski loves burning off energy by going for walks and zooming around in the yard. Friendly and full of life, he would make an amazing companion and would especially love finding a home with a playful canine friend to match his fun-loving spirit.
