SUNNY

Male, German Shepherd mix, 2 years old and 59 pounds

Hi, I'm Sunny, a happy-go-lucky, male adult dog with lots of energy! I love going on walks and getting belly rubs. I can be a bit of a social butterfly with my human friends, but will need to meet any potential k9 friends before going to my furever home. I'm a bit of a joker and love to play, but I'm also very curious, so I'm always on the lookout for something new to sniff and explore. I'm a quick learner and very loyal, so with the right owner who can give me lots of love, care, and attention, I will be sure to be your very best friend! I am the perfect companion for a person or family looking for a fun and adventurous friend.

Autumn loves going on walks and exploring new places, and she has a playful side to her that comes out when she's chasing after a ball or playing with her favorite toy. CHESTER

Male, Mixed large breed, 16 weeks as of 3/16/25 and 23 pounds

Chester needs a home that will help him build some confidence. He was brought to us as a single puppy, and we are assuming he did not have a whole to of exposure to people, so he is a little shy with new people at first. We think he is going to be a large breed dog as an adult. Chester seems to like to play with toys and to sit in laps!

TESS

Mixed Breed SPAYED female, 2-3 years old and 56 beautiful pounds.

Beautiful Tess was adopted, but came back to the shelter due to her guardian's personal issues. This beautifuldog is friendly and sweet and loves to be around people. She walks well on leash and enjoys getting out and about. Tess loves her toys she can entertain herself for hours. Her guardian told us Tess loves to play, does well when left alone, enjoys car rides, and loves playing fetch and romping in water! We think Tess will be a fine companion for a home with children. What’s not to love?

PEDRO

Male, Pit mix, 3 years old and 65 pounds

Pedro is a charming adult dog with a heartwarming and sweet personality. He is a loving companion who enjoys spending time with his favorite humans. Pedro may be a little shy at first, but he warms up quickly once he feels comfortable with you. Unfortunately, we do not have enough information about Pedro's history with other dogs. Therefore, it is best to introduce him slowly to other dogs and monitor his behavior. Overall, Pedro is a delightful companion who will undoubtedly bring joy and love to his forever home.

BINGO

Male, German Shep mix, 1 year old, and 74 pounds

BINGO UPDATE! Our handsome, young guy has been in a WONDERFUL foster home for a few weeks, and we have a great report on his progress: I'm temp fostering Bingo, and can HAPPILY report he knows how to relax, but it did take a bit. I'm providing what was asked for - a quiet, safe place for him to decompress. He's slowly learning and I have to say week two is much more calm than week one. He's had only 2 accidents in the house, but that's on me for not paying attention to what he needed - he has since learned how to tell me more clearly, and I've learned how to better read him for when it's time to go outside.

When he arrived at my house, Bingo didn't know what toys were...but he does now! (Also shoes... bad on me for leaving them out!) He LOVES to cuddle. Loves it. But also to play, and my 12+ old senior girl wants nothing to do with him. I work from home mostly, but work as though I'm in a legit office where dogs are not allowed, so... he does need more than I can provide. He needs a young companion dog to teach him to dog and about boundaries and humans who are active. There's been only a little leash training so far, but what little there has been, and though he is strong, he's made of Velcro, so it's not been horrible. I can't walk far (disabled), so he could use a foster who will actively walk him daily.

Bingo's beginning crate training, and it's going better than anticipated. I can get him in with food and sometimes he'll be in it quietly, other times he howls just a little. He eats in there, will be in it if I have to leave to do a chore, but hasn't slept all night in it yet. Just had a monster, stout crate delivered I'll try the overnight thing in as I don't think the wire one on loan will hold him once he figures out his own strength.

Bingo does not like meeting new people but is great with new dogs. If I were to hand him off to someone else, that person will then be his person and all others will be strangers if that makes sense...? He's my shadow. And he's vocal when appropriate (deliveries, strangers, etc.,) but he's actually a quiet fellow. And he's all legs - like a foal learning how to stand and walk, and not realizing he's larger than he thinks he is. Would be IN my lap if I let him!

Mr. B was curious with my cats at first, then went after them a time or two, and I just don't have the energy to make that work, though I'm convinced it would. My cats LOVE my dog, but Bingo is a little too extra right now. I can only guess he would be fine with older kids, but he needs time and experience to realize not all noises and sudden moves are cause for fear. We did 'chase' around my patio set last night at bed time and he had a blast. He's also pretty darn scared of the TV, will eventually calm down with it on, then gets all stressed if there are loud noises coming from the box with moving pictures and sounds.

There's been ZERO food aggression, but Bingo will go after any food regardless of who's eating it - he has not reacted to me touching him when he eats. And that's the Bingo update. He's a sweet, stunning fellow who will make a wonderful addition to a patient family.

HERE’S BINGO IN HIS FOSTER HOME! Looks like he sure has figured out what toys are! Thanks so much to our wonderful foster folks!

Bingo is very sweet but can be shy meeting new people. This handsome guy needs to gain some confidence, and we’re sure he will once he becomes comfortable. Bingo really perked up when he met a fellow shelter guest-he was wiggly and wanted to play! A friendly, social canine friend in his new home will be a wonderful way to help Bingo gain confidence. Anyway - that's the Bingo update. He's a sweet, stunning fellow who will make a wonderful addition to a patient family.

RED

Mixed Breed male, 2 years old and 80 handsome pounds

Handsome Red is a sweet dog who’s been at the shelter for many months. He can appear rough around the edges due to past experiences, but his affectionate side will be apparent when he finds a loving home and guardian. In the shelter environment, Red feels comfortable in his kennel, and recently he has refused to go out for walks. A good match for Rded is a home with folks who will appreciate his sweet qualities, and have experience with shy and anxious dogs. Red really is a love, but his spirit has ebbed, and he needs to get out of the shelter and into a loving home asap. We’re not sure how Red reacts to all dogs, so he will need to meet any potential canine housemates at the shelter before being adopted. Update from Red's foster** 9-13-25** Red may seem shy and unsure when you meet him at the shelter, but don't let that fool you- this sweet boy blossoms in a home environment. His foster reports that Red is playful, affectionate, and full of puppy-like charm once he feels safe. He's wonderfully friendly with other dogs, including the little ones and would love a "helper" dog friend in his new home. He shows a curious interest in cats. With proper supervision and a gentle introduction, we believe Red could enjoy having a feline friend. He struggles with the noise and stress of shelter life, but in a calm home, he transforms into a relaxed, joyful companion who just wants to be loved. Red does best when he has a routine and structure so this will be important in his new home. If you're looking for a loyal friend with a goofy, gentle soul, Red is ready to show you who he really is.
