Female, mastiff mix, 3 years old and 82 pounds

This sweet Mastiff mix came to us as a stray, heavily pregnant and clearly having had a difficult life. Not long after arriving at the shelter, Ramona gave birth to her puppies here with us. Since then, she has done everything she could for them. giving every ounce of herself while quietly carrying the physical toll life has left behind.Between raising her puppies and dealing with painful cherry eye issues, Ramona looks a little worse for wear these days. But even after everything she’s been through, she remains unbelievably kind and gentle. She greets people with softness, leans in for affection, and seems so grateful for every bit of comfort she receives.

Now that her puppies are grown and she no longer has to worry about motherhood ever again, it is finally Ramona’s turn to be cared for. Our clinic is treating her cherry eye issues, and things are already starting to look up for this deserving girl. Ramona is very sweet, friendly, and may be tolerant of another mellow canine companion with a proper introduction. More than anything, she deserves a quiet home where she can rest, heal, and finally know what it feels like to be loved without having to give so much of herself first. ❤️
