Jango is almost 4 years old and weighs about 100 lbs. He gets along with other dogs if the other dogs are tolerant of a very exuberant bouncy playmate. Jango knows sit, down, shake, and wait. He walks ok on the leash--with the right tools, but can become excited when he sees others dogs. Jango therefore needs a strong walker. Jango has been around children of different ages and is fine, but he forgets how big he is and may knock someone down! He needs a large fenced yard that has very secure fencing because if left unattended for long periods of time with no exercise, he will find a way out. Jango can be leery of some new people, so a proper introduction on leash in an open area, not through a fence or barrier, is important. Jango's reluctance of some humans seems to be more fear-based than aggression. Most importantly, Jango needs a home where he will be exercised daily so he does not get pent up energy and show these behaviors.
Important for Jango's new home: NO CATS • NO LIVESTOCK • YOUNG PLAYFUL FEMALE DOGS PREFERRED • A HOME WHERE HE WILL NOT BE KENNELED
