HARRIER? Hound/Pointer??? NEUTERED male, 3 years old and 68 pounds.

PHOTO SHOOT UPDATE: Well, the photographer and assistant fell in love with Harely. He is a beautiful dog, with beautiful kohl-rimmed eyes, and a sweet and calm presence. He was easy to leash up, but he does pull while walking. When Harley first entered the play yard, he sniffed around a lot and was slightly aloof. He did not take treats, and he seemed like a serious dog. But--we knew we could get him to feel comfortable, and pretty soon, Harley was entertaining us with his goofy side. He LOVES playing fetch and keep-away, and did not guard the tennis ball or toy, but dropped it for the next throw. This guy is nimble and athletic, and he might do best in a home with a "job" --which could be playing, fetching, or taking training classes. Harley might be a Harrier--you can visit this site for info on the breed: https://www.akc.org/dog-breeds/harrier/

Summer Intern Notes 6/14/18 Harley is a very handsome dog who easily connects to new people. When taken out to examen abilities, he wasn't interested in treats, but will do anything for a ball! Using the ball he demonstrated a perfect sit and down. Once rewarded with a ball, he easily let us take it from him. He is a very fun dog to socialize with and is looking for a new permanent home.

Look at this sweet face! Harley is a sweet and easy going guy. He tested positive for heartworm, and we will treat him at the shelter. Watch this spot for updates on this dapper gent, as shelter staff and volunteers spend time with Harley.
